Extubation

It is likely that Caleb will be extubated tommorrow, Wednesday, between 10:00am-12:00pm. The final decision will be made first thing in the morning. Extubation means that his breathing tube will be removed. This is a big step; some babies have some problems after they are extubated because they no longer have the assistance of a machine to help them breathe. So the prayer request is that he will be able to breathe without the machine and that there will be no complications as a result of the extubation.

Pat & Janet,
I took the time tonight to scroll down through all your posts and the encouraging comments from everyone. What an amazing thing to witness!!! Caleb's life has already made an impact in so many other lives. We pray for Caleb, that the Lord will continue the work that He has begun. We continue to pray for you guys that the Lord will give you the strength you need and will also pray for Genesis (we don't want to leave her out). She's soooo cute, as Mia would say.
We love you,

We're praying for Caleb to have a smooth transition from the machine to breathing on his own. Also, for physical strength for Mom and Dad, I can only imagine how pooped you guys are. We love you!!!
