A Rough Day

The cardiologist told us that Caleb is not doing well. He is still getting too much blood flow to the lungs. This is causing him to breathe fast and his heart to work very hard. There is an ever-increasing possibility now that we could be back in the hospital if there is not significant improvement in his condition. We have also noticed at home that there is an increase in his saturation levels. They are supposed to be between 75 and 85; his now are up in the low 90's. This is another sign of increased pulmonary blood flow. He has gained weight. Today he was 8 lbs 8 ounces; that's his saving grace and the main reason he wasn't hospitalized today.

Please pray for him and for us. We (especially Janet) need strength and wisdom. Thank you.

Lord Jesus, there is none like You. You are the ALMIGHTY GOD, our refuge and strength in time of trouble. You are all knowing, all powerful and in control of all situations. Father, I lift up our little Caleb to you. You know what he needs, Lord. I pray that you will pour your healing hand upon him, Jesus, and strengthen him as he feeds. Lord, please give Janet (and Pat) strength, wisdom, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, may your grace be sufficient for them. Jesus we know you're at your Father's feet interceeding for little Caleb. We also lift up the rest of the family, as Ana prayed. We thank you for each and every one of them. Please Lord, we need you. We love you, Lord and wait for you. In your precious name I pray. Amen.

A worship song that has been in my mind the last couple of days:

"Faithful One so unchanging, Ageless One, you're my rock of peace...You are my rock in times of trouble...all through the storm your love is the anchor. My hope is in You alone"

May these words be precious to you in these difficult days.
